(At present - rough google translation in english) :

Social and popular organizations of the continent, gathered at the ‘V Summit of the People’, the true voice of the Americas, held between 12 and 14 April in Cartagena de Indias simultaneously to the Sixth Summit of the Americas, we note that:

We strongly reject the insistence of the U.S. government to impose its agenda and decide the course of the proceedings of these summits. Evidence of this veto the participation of Cuba and its strategy of militarization, which uses the pretext of the failed war on drugs, attention to natural disasters and migration control as a way to maintain its hegemony. A key component of this strategy is the criminalization of social struggles.

Its imperialist policy was expressed in supporting the coup in Honduras and support for the illegitimate regime of Porfirio Lobo, the attempts to destabilize Haiti, the maintenance of economic blockade of Cuba and the continuity of the military base of Guantanamo and, opposition to the sovereignty of Argentina over the Falkland Islands.

It was obvious after the summit in Trinidad and Tobago, the failure of the Obama administration’s offer to build a new relationship with Latin America. Despite its defeat in the proposed FTAA, the U.S. government to weather the severe economic crisis faced since 2007, strives to promote free trade and the whole neoliberal agenda that are an obstacle to regional integration and have been driven into backwardness and misery to most countries of the continent.

Meanwhile, the Canadian government has declared a policy of free trade and industry mega mining and extraction of natural resources and energy in Latin America. Their companies are causing irreversible damage to the environment and biodiversity, violating the rights of peoples to their territories. The social and environmental conflicts multiply in the region as a result of this model predator.

We recognize the progress in regional integration efforts independently, as proposed in the ALBA, UNASUR and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean CELAC.Sin however, the construction and consolidation of democratic, progressive and left should move towards overcoming the extractive model based on the agro-export monoculture and land grabbing. This violates basic rights such as free, prior and informed and prevents the deployment of the full capacity of movement socialcomo forces capable of further changes.

The confluence of these streams government with social and political movements, can be preserved to the extent that people deepen the unity, social and political mobilization and not give up their autonomy and their right to control. We note with satisfaction that popular struggles are maintained and strengthened in peaceful resistance to the neoliberal model.

At this V Summit of the People, the True Voice of America, attended by thousands of fighters and wrestlers, women’s organizations, unions, student, peasant, indigenous, Afro, small producers and sectors of churches and ecumenical in the hemisphere. Deliberate on the problems that we consider our people truly fundamentalespara and advance in the construction of proposals and thus, among other demands, we demand:

 - The elimination of foreign military bases, the end of colonialism, the cancellation of training exercises and joint military and police, the closure of the School of the Americas and the elimination of the Inter defense and the end of the deployment of the Fourth Fleet on our seas.

- The end of the militarization under the pretext of the war on drugs, and its replacement by a comprehensive policy, multilateral and an emphasis on public health measures.

- The end of the militarization of civilian functions such as humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and migration control.

- An end to the criminalization of social struggle, the use of indigenous territories, afros and peasants war scenarios: no to forced recruitment, the use of women as spoils of war and forced displacement. In the case of Colombia, where armed conflict persists, militarization has been on the brink of extinction to these people.

- The abolition of free trade and investment that deepen poverty, social exclusion and inequality, particularly affecting women.

- An end to the indiscriminate promotion of foreign investment, seeking instead cooperative relations and mutual benefit and deepening integration processes autonomously. The rights of investors can not be above the rights of people and nature. It should condemn transnational main actors of the model.

- A new regional financial architecture, to include: Bank of the South, Latin American Reserves Fund and end the impoverishing debt policy.

- Real Solutions to the environmental crisis and climate point to structural causes through a rethinking of the financial architecture change in the pattern of development. Defend life and the commons against the commodification of nature driven by multilateral financial institutions and the northern countries.

- Respect the right of peoples to decide their agricultural policies and to ensure its food security, conserve and consume their native products. These threatened by monoculture, biofuels, GMOs and large scale mining.

- To prioritize the generation of decent work for all and all, the guarantee of freedom of association and collective bargaining and an end to violence against rural and urban workers on the continent.

- Changes effective education systems to ensure full access to education, democratic participation of the educational establishment and against the privatization and commodification of education. In defense of the right to education, we support the demand of the student movement of the continent for its free and universal.

- Restore the right of Cuba to belong to the multilateral system. Require U.S. the cessation of the blockade on Cuba and the cessation of hostility towards governments that do not follow their dictates.

- The deepening of integration processes without interference autonomous U.S. government and the construction of broad processes of integration from the peoples, with respect, recognition and incorporation of input from the community to a society based on cooperation and the Good Living and building a culture of peace. - The fraternal peoples of the continent, support to Colombia in search of a peaceful negotiated solution to armed conflict.

We regret that the beautiful city of Cartagena is both an example of inequity and poverty. Militarization today on the occasion of the Summit executive officer.

We call on all sectors of society in the Americas, to undertake a unified way the struggles claiming the principles and aspirations contained in this statement, inviting them to accompany the mass mobilization, peaceful and civil to achieve the proposed objectives.

Finally we consider the official Summit of the Americas can not remain an exclusive scenario, subordination to the empire and simulation of false harmonies. This is our voice, the true voice of the peoples of the Americas, and so proclaim to the world.

1*.WORLD SOCIAL FORUM/FORO SOCIAL MUNDIAL:

“Charter of Principles” : April 9th 2001:

(2*.ASSEMBLY of THE SOCIAL MOVEMENTS : [See Below]).

The committee of Brazilian organizations that conceived of, and organized, the first World Social Forum, held in Porto Alegre from January 25th to 30th, 2001, after evaluating the results of that Forum and the expectations it raised, consider it necessary and legitimate to draw up a “Charter of Principles” to guide the continued pursuit of that initiative. While the principles contained in this Charter - to be respected by all those who wish to take part in the process and to organize new editions of the World Social Forum - are a consolidation of the decisions that presided over the holding of the Porto Alegre Forum and ensured its success, they extend the reach of those decisions and define orientations that flow from their logic.

1. The World Social Forum is an open meeting place for reflective thinking, democratic debate of ideas, formulation of proposals, free exchange of experiences and interlinking for effective action, by groups and movements of civil society that are opposed to neoliberalism and to domination of the world by capital and any form of imperialism, and are committed to building a planetary society directed towards fruitful relationships among Humankind and between it and the Earth.

2. The World Social Forum at Porto Alegre was an event localized in time and place. From now on, in the certainty proclaimed at Porto Alegre that “another world is possible”, it becomes a permanent process of seeking and building alternatives, which cannot be reduced to the events supporting it.

3. The World Social Forum is a world process. All the meetings that are held as part of this process have an international dimension.

4. The alternatives proposed at the World Social Forum stand in opposition to a process of globalization commanded by the large multinational corporations and by the governments and international institutions at the service of those corporations interests, with the complicity of national governments. They are designed to ensure that globalization in solidarity will prevail as a new stage in world history. This will respect universal human rights, and those of all citizens - men and women - of all nations and the environment and will rest on democratic international systems and institutions at the service of social justice, equality and the sovereignty of peoples.

5. The World Social Forum brings together and interlinks only organizations and movements of civil society from all the countries in the world, but it does not intend to be a body representing world civil society.

6. The meetings of the World Social Forum do not deliberate on behalf of the World Social Forum as a body. No-one, therefore, will be authorized, on behalf of any of the editions of the Forum, to express positions claiming to be those of all its participants. The participants in the Forum shall not be called on to take decisions as a body, whether by vote or acclamation, on declarations or proposals for action that would commit all, or the majority, of them and that propose to be taken as establishing positions of the Forum as a body. It thus does not constitute a locus of power to be disputed by the participants in its meetings, nor does it intend to constitute the only option for interrelation and action by the organizations and movements that participate in it.

7. Nonetheless, organizations or groups of organizations that participate in the Forums meetings must be assured the right, during such meetings, to deliberate on declarations or actions they may decide on, whether singly or in coordination with other participants. The World Social Forum undertakes to circulate such decisions widely by the means at its disposal, without directing, hierarchizing, censuring or restricting them, but as deliberations of the organizations or groups of organizations that made the decisions.

8. The World Social Forum is a plural, diversified, non-confessional, non-governmental and non-party context that, in a decentralized fashion, interrelates organizations and movements engaged in concrete action at levels from the local to the international to build another world.

9. The World Social Forum will always be a forum open to pluralism and to the diversity of activities and ways of engaging of the organizations and movements that decide to participate in it, as well as the diversity of genders, ethnicities, cultures, generations and physical capacities, providing they abide by this Charter of Principles. Neither party representations nor military organizations shall participate in the Forum. Government leaders and members of legislatures who accept the commitments of this Charter may be invited to participate in a personal capacity.

10. The World Social Forum is opposed to all totalitarian and reductionist views of economy, development and history and to the use of violence as a means of social control by the State. It upholds respect for Human Rights, the practices of real democracy, participatory democracy, peaceful relations, in equality and solidarity, among people, ethnicities, genders and peoples, and condemns all forms of domination and all subjection of one person by another.

11. As a forum for debate, the World Social Forum is a movement of ideas that prompts reflection, and the transparent circulation of the results of that reflection, on the mechanisms and instruments of domination by capital, on means and actions to resist and overcome that domination, and on the alternatives proposed to solve the problems of exclusion and social inequality that the process of capitalist globalization with its racist, sexist and environmentally destructive dimensions is creating internationally and within countries.

12. As a framework for the exchange of experiences, the World Social Forum encourages understanding and mutual recognition among its participant organizations and movements, and places special value on the exchange among them, particularly on all that society is building to centre economic activity and political action on meeting the needs of people and respecting nature, in the present and for future generations.

13. As a context for interrelations, the World Social Forum seeks to strengthen and create new national and international links among organizations and movements of society, that - in both public and private life - will increase the capacity for non-violent social resistance to the process of dehumanization the world is undergoing and to the violence used by the State, and reinforce the humanizing measures being taken by the action of these movements and organizations.

14. The World Social Forum is a process that encourages its participant organizations and movements to situate their actions, from the local level to the national level and seeking active participation in international contexts, as issues of planetary citizenship, and to introduce onto the global agenda the change-inducing practices that they are experimenting in building a new world in solidarity.

Approved and adopted in São Paulo, on April 9, 2001, by the organizations that make up the World Social Forum Organizing Committee, approved with modifications by the World Social Forum International Council on June 10, 2001.

Tord Bjork : Swedish/European Social Forum :

Wednesday, 14 December 2011, 10:40 :

A bad google translation somewhat adjusted of an article addressing

the verdict in the trial against ESF activist Algirdas Paleckis to be

announced today 14th of December 2011 in Vilnius and the general

campaign against system critical thinking and the workers movement

in Europe today. (Below the original Swedish version).

Please feel free to circulate and publish. :

Tord Björk

STOP HUNTING MARXISTS ! :

Europe is haunted by a hunt on Marxism and everything that it is said

to have caused. Murder, imprisonment, new textbooks and state

historical revisionism is seen as effective tools. Not least, the

Swedish government has taken the lead in this quest for what is said

to be an extremist ideology that inspires what the Swedish state’s

history authority calls communist learning processes that feeds

genocide.

This campaign against the Marxist violence was clearly demonstrated

during this summer’s massacre of labor movement activists in Norway.

On the Norwegian right-wing terrorist Breivik specially designed

uniform were a badge on the upper arm with the text Marxist Hunter.

But not only this right wing terrorist sees Marxists as an inherently

violent problem.

Lithuania is now in line. This time, Marxists are hunted by the court.

The politician Algirdas Paleckis from the Socialist People’s Front

party is accused of having denied the “large and very large crime”

committed by the Soviet Union against the residents of Lithuania, thus

having “offended and insulted” the victims of the communist regime’s

aggression. The punishment for the offense is up to two years

imprisonment. Paleckis is critical of both the Soviet Union’s actions

and forces within the emerging Lithuanian state that both are accused

by him of a lack of willingness to negotiate.

But he also claims that there was an element of provocation from the

Lithuanian side during the liberation struggle of the Soviet Union

substantiated by the statements by former Defense Minister of the

Republic of Lithuania, a chair of the country’s parliamentary security

committee and post-mortem reports. Killing shots at demonstrators at

the TV tower in Vilnius was according to these sources contrary from

the official version. At least some of them did not come from Soviet

soldiers on the ground but from above from other than military

weapons. For this statement the prosecutor brought Paleckis to

trial.

There is also an offensive at European level. In October,

representatives of organizations in 13 countries in Central and

Eastern Europe together with Czech Prime Minister signed an appeal for

“European memory and conscience.” The aim is to assert Communist and

Nazi regimes equal responsibility for World War II and the crimes

committed during the 1900s. Thus, it is given the opportunity to

reduce or completely hide the Nazi collaborators and practitioners of

genocide in Eastern Europe by depicting them as freedom fighters

against the communist regime. Something that has already come to the

strong expression particularly in the Baltic States. Here SS soldiers

from the country are hailed increasingly open while the genocide of

the Jews is turned into only a German responsibility. The Liberal

States many concessions to European fascism and the exclusion of the

Soviet Union from the negotiations with Hitler in Munich resulting in

sacrificing Czechoslovakia and accept the annexation of Austria

becomes erased from history.

The national Swedish historical authority Living History Forum, (Forum

för levande historia) contributes in its own way. The authority states

in its materials on crimes against humanity and genocide in the

communist regimes in the Soviet Union, China and Cambodia that they

are the result of communist learning processes, starting with Karl

Marx’s analysis of the Paris Commune. Lenin is also said to be the

first to import the concentration camps to Europe which is a lie

because the bourgeois Finland was before. If the political views of

Breivik makes him a fool, you can certainly wonder if the Swedish

state is a madhouse. It’s not just during the bourgeois government

Reinfeldt as the state historical authority disseminates historical

revisionism to claim Karl Marx’s ideology as a cause of constant

expansion by means of violence against liberal regimes. During the

Social democratic government the authority behaved the same way.

Two out of three maps with the boundaries of countries and occupations

during World War II was designed incorrectly. It was necessary if one

wants to live up to the idea that Soviet Union unilaterally always was

expanding in line with the social democratic prime minister Persson’s

false claim ”that where the red soldier set foot there was established

the iron curtain”. Also the boundaries of Finland’s occupation by the

Soviet Union were forged as if this occupation with the establishment

of concentration camps for the Russian-speaking population and the

subsequent mass death never happened.

Active in social forums in several countries are now protesting

against the attempts to rewrite Europe’s 1900-century history and the

trial of Paleckis. There is reason for the popular movements in many

countries to protest against the hunt of Marxism. It’s rather an

attempt at whitewashing the prevailing liberal model of the EU

combined with the demonization of the labor movement and any attempt

to imagine a different society than about standing up for democratic

values.

Statement Against the distortion of history

Faktaskrift - Brott mot mänskligheten under kommunistiska regimer,

Forum för levande historia.

—————————————-

Men

I oktober samlades

Statement against the distortion of history

Faktaskrift - Brott mot mänskligheten under kommunistiska regimer,

Forum för levande historia.

Filed December 14th, 2011 under Uncategorized
*STATEMENT ON COUNTERACTING THE DISTORTION OF HISTORY **OF THE TWENTIETH
CENTURY*
On October 14 in Prague, representatives of nineteen non-governmental
organizations from 13 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, signed in
the presence of Czech Prime Minister and Vice-President of the European
platform, the so-called "European memory and conscience."
The process that had developed after the Prague Declaration in 2008
declares the equal responsibility of the communist and the Nazi regime
for crimes committed in the twentieth century (especially the outbreak
of World War II), calls for recognition of August 23 as a European Day
of Remembrance for the victims of so-called totalitarian regimes.

The equation of the two systems -- Communist and Nazi -- is nothing more
than an attempt of some countries of Eastern Europe to whitewash the
criminal regimes who collaborated with Hitler, to shift responsibility
for the genocide only to Germans, to present those by whose hands were
committed the mass murder of thousand and millions innocent people as
"fighters against the communist regime", although we are conscious about
the fact that during the period of Stalin in the Soviet Union many
innocent people were killed by the regime.

It is not difficult to see among those who called for "condemnation of
Communism" -- right-wing political forces, social movements,
pseudo-scientific research centers and museums, self-proclaimed
spiritual and political successors of collaborators, Legionnaires'
Waffen SS, Forest Brothers, Stepan Bandera, and other supporters of the
Nazis.

It is no coincidence that the tendency to equate Soviet and the Nazi
systems against a background of rapid nazification and radicalization of
social consciousness in the former Communist bloc.

Glorification of Nazism not only distorts the past, but also endangers
the future. A new generation of Europeans grows up with the idea that
crimes of the Nazi collaborators are not important, as long as they
committed in the name of "the struggle for independence."
The signatories of the platform on "European memory and conscience"
declared their intent to write textbooks on the history of Europe for
high-school and university students. In these tutorials under the guise
of arguments on "equal responsibility of Stalin and Hitler for inciting
the war", European students will be inculcated with tolerance for those,
who siding with the Nazis, sullied their hands in the blood of innocent
victims of Nazism.

Based on the above, we declare the following:

 1.

The thesis about equal responsibility of Communism and Nazism for
the outbreak of World War II is historically unfounded, since it
does not take into account the role of Western European democracies,
especially Britain and France, in the collapse of the so-called
"Versailles" system of the world order that emerged after the First
World War and Hitler's aggression in pushing to the east. "Munich
Agreement" and subsequent non-aggression pacts with Nazi Germany by
Britain and France (1938) which became the first starting point, a
necessary and sufficient condition for the outbreak of World War II,
decision that freed Hitler's hands for his annexation policy towards
    Eastern European countries.

2. All the talk by signers of the so-called platform of "European memory
and conscience" of the alleged responsibility of the Soviet Union for
the war are intended not only to rewrite the history of the XX century
and glorify the collaborators, but also to reconsider decisions of the
Nuremberg trials and the postwar world order, that in itself leads to
unpredictable consequences.

3. Declared attempts to rewrite the history books (in fact, in Eastern
European countries this process has already started long ago), lead to
the education of a generation which has no "vaccine" against Nazism, and
therefore is able to repeat the mistakes of their grandfathers and great
grandfathers, who made the greatest catastrophe of the twentieth century.

We appeal to the leadership of the European Parliament, the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to dissociate themselves
from this initiative, since it involves a distortion of historical facts
and for many European countries serves as a signal to the justification
and glorification of their own collaborators, that objectively leads to
a revival of Nazism.

We offer a wide open scientific discussion on the history of the
twentieth century by encouraging the Council of Europe to establish an
open expert group in order to prepare a textbook on history of the
twentieth century, which could be recommended as a model for the
ministries of education of the countries -- members of the Council of
Europe. It will be based on a serious scientific study, as well as the
decisions of international judicial and political authorities on which
basis the postwar world order had been built. This book could form the
basis for the study for European students to understand this complex
historical period.
*For the sake of the future we will not allow to distort the past.*

€-volcano explodes? : 12th December 2011 :

The euro is like a volcano. Inside, it simmers and sizzles. Steam escapes through some columns and lava hisses out.

While the volcano is more threatening, Merkel celebrates with her French Sarkozy their helpers’ EU summit success. ” Merkozy have forced the EU Member States a rigid debt reduction. Tighter budgetary controls, automatic sanctions and national debt brakes, which should be the recipe to regain some confidence in the “financial investors”. In fact, Merkel will 2010 on the reduction of debt to export to the EU’s agenda. The German character to recover Europe.

Thus, only depression and deflation is evoked, but the euro is not saved. Neither the current explosive pressure in the volcano is mitigated, yet prevents the lava is getting hotter and the large volcanic eruption is more likely.

2012, Italy from its € 1.9 trillion national debt refinance 260 billion. By the end of April alone, 160 billion euros. Interest rates have risen in fact already unsustainable levels of seven percent or more. It is questionable whether Italy is ever enough buyers for its bonds. A recession represents Italy in the house anyway, because the government is strangling the country with a stunning reduction package. € 30 billion will be slashed, especially among the population. Rich and Wealthy remain almost unscathed.

If it comes to Italian Lavaausbruch, then other countries will explode into a thunderous roar. Spain in 2012 at 120 billion loans are due in the first four months as 55 billion euros. Many other countries, even France may be in crisis countries. The demolition of the entire volcano’s danger - the euro collapses.

Then came a new German currency. This would enhance abruptly by 40 percent. There would be the competitiveness of German exports. Million jobs in the industry are under threat.

With Merkel’s European policy, the real reason for the growing and rising pressure in the volcano is not addressed. He is constantly increasing with the German Aushandelsüberschuss. In 2011, it will amount to more than 150 billion euros, about half arises in trade with the euro zone. Since 2000, German businessman for € 1.2 trillion more bought than sold abroad.

When a country runs continuously massive export surplus, then the other countries must constantly borrow. The only way they can pay for these surpluses. This is the main cause of the debt and thus the steady increase of pressure in the explosive volcano.

The price-adjusted wages have declined in Germany since 2000 by 4.5 percent. Why people wear less money in the shops. This also applies to imports, so that many other countries find it difficult to export goods to Germany. With the wage dumping, entrepreneurs can increase exports massively exacerbated. In the scissor movement of imports and increasing exports slowed Aushandelsüberschuss exploded.

The German wage dumping and the debt crisis of European countries are two sides of same coin. We have no debt, but a wage crisis!

What are the alternatives? In Germany, the wage dumping be stopped, especially by the legal minimum wage of € 10 and the reversal of the Agenda 2010. In addition, the ECB has to a public bank via direct funding to ensure the crisis countries. Then interest rates are possible by one percent. The funding of € states would be at the mercy of private financial markets withdrawn; speculators and rating agencies off.

Only with this fundamental reversal of the European volcano can be brought back to rest.

Merkels Geisterfahrt : 10.12.2011 :

“Merkel’s Spirits Fly” : (Google translation in english) :

Guest commentary by Sahra Wagenknecht, appeared in the young world on 10/12/2011

The German government has prevailed: debt brakes, saving Commissioners, automatic sanctions for so-called “deficit sinner” - this policy is now set in stone, enshrined in EU treaties and constitutions. Instead of considering how to rid the euro-zone countries from the stranglehold of the financial mafia, Merkel continues to focus on the “disciplining effect” of financial markets, which have to be a “market-based democracy to adapt.” A fatal denial of reality in a situation in which even Italy is headed for a bankruptcy, the bank crisis deepens again and rend the Euro-zone to the conflict over the distribution costs of the crisis is imminent.

Merkel when their spirits ride does not end soon, it is in Europe the great crash. Who dictates the crisis countries brutal austerity programs, which leads out of the crisis, but rather more deeply into them - they should have learned a lesson 80 years after German Chancellor Brüning actually. But amnesia seems to be a basic principle of German policy to pursue. How else explain the fact that sinners are pontificating on deficit and debt brakes, while the exorbitant cost of bank bailouts, which have caused the drastic increase in the debt ratio will not say a single word?

It is cynical: the same gambler gang that has driven in the States until the whole debt, the states now dictate the terms on which these get new loans. It’s like a burglar my house empty spaces and I would then ask him for a loan, so I can set up new - and I also allow the intruder, the interest rates and terms at any time redetermine. This absurd system of public finance must be changed. For example, by a public bank or the European Central Bank to all euro countries is sufficient low-interest loans. Freed from the dictates of the investment bankers and rating agencies, one could also perform a cut debt, without that uses an uncontrollable chain reaction.

While many banks and insurance companies would not survive a cut debt from its own resources. This also offers an opportunity: The entire financial sector could be transformed into public sector shrank, and sensibly regulated. The money for the recapitalization of the financial sector could obtain by a single property tax for the super rich. There is also likely to cut a debt to collect enough to be in Germany alone have approximately 830 000 millionaires over a financial assets of at least € 2.2 trillion - more than federal government, states and municipalities have joined in debt. To tolerate rather than that of the welfare state destroyed the brutal and democracy is undermined, step by step we have to fight in Germany and Europe so that these beneficiaries are asked to pay….

English (French, Castellano Below) :

“FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE EUROPEAN NETWORK OF WATER COMMONS” Castel dell’Ovo, Napoli   -  10th-11th of December 2011

The meeting will gather water activists from all over Europe.

The goal of the meeting is to launch  a European network where all movements, unions, associations and civil society groups can join to share their work for water as a Commons. The network should represent a “common platform” which can define some shared core points for a common action and project; campaigns and instruments to be adopted should then be defined step by step, as for the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI).

We believe that there is not a finance based solution of the crisis. Neoliberal receipts are the reasons of the crisis and cannot ever be the solution of the European social and economic problems. On the contrary, participative governance of Commons, starting from water, is a key to guarantee the universal access to essential goods. It is necessary redefine a new European Socialeconomy and a build a new Europe based on rights, Commons, solidarity, beating up the competitive and market based current European paradigm.

Dear friends!

Yesterday, together with Campact and Naturfreunde (Friends of Nature),

and the support of many other organisations, among them trade unions,

the German Left party and the German Green party, Attac Germany

organised further protests against the banking system. Also many people

of the occupy movement joined the protests.

In Frankfurt more than 10.000 people encircled the banking quarter, in

Berlin 8.000 people encircled the German parliament.

Here you can find two videos in English from Russia today, who made

interviews with Max Bank and Jutta Sundermann, both members of the board

of Attac Germany.:

And a report in spanish:

Report of Iranian press.tv from the protests in Berlin:

(Sad, that broadcasting stations like rusia today and press tv don’t

make videos like this, when there are anti-government-protests in their

own countries)

Here some more impressions from the camps and protests in Frankfurt and

Berlin:
